Nirvalur Temple Maha Samprokshanam : Jan'08

Dear BhAgavathAs,
Please find attached pictures taken during the Maha SamprOkshanam of Vetriruntha Lakshmi Narayanar Thiru Kovil at Nirvalur (Bhashyapuram). This Pracheena Agraharam was established by Injimedu Srimad Azhagiyasinghar and the temple was established much earlier by 6th Azhagiyasinghar Srivan SatakOpa Sashta Parankusa Yatheendra MahA DEsikan Swami with the Utsavar of Jwala Nrusimhan.

Soon after the SamprOkshanam, an old idol of Lakshmi Narayanar with inscriptions dating back to several centuries back, has been unearthed beneath a neem tree at Nirvalur. The whole village and Asthikas are thronging to Nirvalur to know more about this moorthy and the inscriptions found on the base of the moorthy.
